What a last few weeks it has been from driving to dads for Thanksgiving, which my sister and I spent it in the emergency room with Nik and a cut finger. MEMORIES! Jack turned 14, then Payton turned 11. Now onto Christmas and the kids just want a TV to play their games on and not just a TV a 47" Plasma. The trampoline is going to last maybe one more day ,so that is one present since they use it everyday. The boys got a X-box 360 for their birthdays. It is so hard when they get presents just before Christmas, but my nephew has his birthday on the 24th so he really gets jipped.
We went on a dinner date with friends last night and I really did not want to go, but so glad I did we had a really good time with them all. Steve and I are really home buddies, so to go out it is a treat.

I think I will do some shopping today NOT the mall, but maybe Kohls.

Off to dads house

We are getting ready to go to Dads house for Thanksgiving and it already has been a trip. My sister called and said they could not make it until Thursday night, so dad gets his shorts in a tivey. I mentioned to make Thanksgiving on Friday and he thought I shot the bird right then and there. Well, after much thinking instead of eating in shirts when people come in we are going to eat on Friday. It is a long drive for us 16 hours just for 3 days, but I LOVE my dad and since we won't get to go for Christmas I want to see him for Thanksgiving. I have learned take any oppurtunity to see family when ever you can.

I spent the day with Kris we had a good time. I did not get to see her new house since i needed to get back to the house to pick up the boys from school. It is touch since it is a 1 hour or more depends on traffic each way.
I got a new Bind- it- all so I got some O-wire at the junkie. I only spent 19.00 I was very proud of myself. I am keeping our spending on the low before Birthdays and christmas hit.

Happy Thanksgiving see you next week.

WOW I figured it out

Yes, I can change my background. I still not sure if I like it, but let's give a day or two.
I am still working on my scrap room it is coming together slowly. I have to fight with a huge weight bench in the middle it will not fit out the doorway or it would have been out of there!
Steve is gone today so that means the boys and i will be eating out. Yeah!! no cooking. I got 2 16# turkeys yeasterday for a whooping $6.00 pays to shop at the same store all the time.

Well off to get into more stuff, fun fun!

I do miss talking to my Chi5 sistas, but I know they are busy and i am thinking of them!!

HELLO it is Friday!

I am so happy it is Friday! I am so tired by Thursday night I fall asleep on the couch at 9 pm. I painted my scraproom and now the shelves will have to go up and I can start stuffing it with my scrap stuff. I copied a scraproom that was in Keepsakes magazine. It had IKEA shelves and stuff you would use in the kitchen and it works! I am such a copy cat, but it works for me.
I got a estimate to fix our pool decking (short story DH did it!) It will be $9,000 to repair it. What do you think he will do???? Want to bet money on it :) He always has these ideas and thinks he can do it, which then in return it costs us triple to fix his mistakes! MEN!
My sister has decided to go to my dads for Thanksgiving so it will be nice to see her and the kids. Then we decided to go skiing for Christmas in January, but now the neighbors want to come too, then the other neighbor does with her 2 kids??? Steve wants to know when did this become a neighborhood get together in Denver???? Sometimes things take a hold of themselves and grow. He is not a person for crowds, especially when we have to share a bathroom with 10 other people. Again, we will see where this goes.

Off to find some studs (in the wall you dirty minds LOL)

Where does time go? I have been over on Facebook so that takes up some time, then over to scrapjammies, and then surfing and POOF! days are gone and it is November. I am looking forward to Thanksgiving since we are going to Lincoln to visit my dad and brother. We won't make it home for Christmas since last year was the drive of all blizzards we went through. Kansas and Okalahoma our least favorite states to drive through summer or winter!
Football is finished so we are not doing much. I love it when we are busy, but sometimes I can't find my head. Now we are sitting at 6 since it is so dark out and now the chilly air has set in 60's seem chilly to me now.
I have started a new book "Look me in the eye" about a man that has had Asperger's and nvever knew it until he was a adult. It makes me so sad that I didn't know Tyler had it until 5th grade and even then I have had a hard time dealing with it. He is who he is and i can't change it, but just feel bad that he can't make friends. Moving all the time didn't help, but again it is what it is "I GUESS". I wish I had one ounce of his motivation and smarts! He will be something great when he grows up. If anyone has a child with Autism (any for a the specturm) this book is a must read!
Well better get off the kids will be home in 5 minutes or less.
Happy Monday :)

WOW! it has been a while since I have been over here. Things are back to normal and I have made it to the gym twice this week YEAH! I am trying to get rid of the tummy roll and some arm flab. Why is it you can get rid of it so easy when you are 18 and when you are 37 it takes 100 more times to burn 100 calories!
They are still picking up logs on the front of the yards so there are so many stupid trucks around it is hard to get anywhere. It took us 1 hour to get to Jacks football game last night.
I hope all is well with everyone and catch up more tomorrow:)

Hump Day

I made it to the gym again today I am doing really good. I have 2 friends that are going with and that helps a ton to keep going. At night though my thighs are killing me (good thing uh?)

Watching the weather we don't have to worry to much since we are 70 miles inland, but we lose power if someone sneezes so we will be watching the wind. Kids are praying to get out of school YAH RIGHT!

All my Tx gal pals our house is open to anyone who wants to come up to us.

Hugs to all!! Stay safe

Alone again

I am finally alone in my house it has been 2 weeks somebody was here during the day. My dad left this morning after Tyler and Jack left for school. I already miss him. I wish he would live closer, but he hates the Houston heat. We had the best time with the boat and he took the boys to the shooting range. My boys just love my dad and wish we could see him more of him then 2 times a year.
LOVE YOU DAD!!!!

The backyard is still a mess with mud they are here right now forming so they can pour the concrete tomorrow!! YEAH! My pool is a mess and needs to be scrubbed.

Jack had football practice yesterday and got hit really hard in the ribs OUCH! He was hurting this morning, but won't miss one practice. I gave him some Tylonel and he went to school, very slowly. Time will heal, but as a mom I want to fix it.

My list today is hit the scrapbook store and Sams club we are out of drinks.

Forbiddon Gardens, Katy Texas great place for the kids to see history.....

First week of School

Well I have made it to Wednesday and we started dragging this morning. School is tough on me LOL! Kids are happy and things are going a little smoother than last year WHEW!
Payton is loving his new science teacher and I think she is theright one for him. They already did a experiment & he loves the hands on type of teacher.
Tyler is surviving High School and has no complaints so far. I can't believe they already are talking to them about college and what hey need to graduate. I say let them get through being a freshman.
Jack started football, so we get all the smelly, sweaty stuff after school. He loves it and let's see what he can do this year. He likes his Skills For Living class I guess it is full of girls. Not Surprised at all.

Well let's see what tomorrow brings. Oh ya! My dad :)

Last week of Freedom for the kids

Yes, summer is winding down and the kids are getting ready for school. We have had one of the busiest summers ever. From treking up to Minnesota to Nebraska to Corpus Cristie to the beach. We have had our fair share of time in the car and watching movies along the way. This last week we went to the beach were the boys love to boogie board and skim board. I could not get Payton out of the water to even get more sunscreen on so I did it in the water and out when I could catch him. Tyler and I paid the price and are so burnt we don't even want to step outside.
Saturday we went up to the high school to get schedule and locker, I can not believe he is starting his freshman year. I can remember mine like it was yesterday (HOW TIME FLYS). He is excited about it. Payton on the other hand does not want to step foot in the classroom we will see how that goes on Thursday when it is meet the teacher night.

HOT!

Can it get any hotter outside?? I was just out waterering the plants and my feet were on fire. I am going to try to get this tuned up today and scrap a little since going outside it not a option. I do have to go do the horses by 6 and hope it will cool down just a little by then.

ARGH!!!!!!! This is so stinkin hard or I am just a idiot. I can get the basics, but that is it! Let me hit it and see if it works. I worked on bringing in a playlist and it never got over to the blog. I am asking Tyler to help me, but he doesn't know to much either.
Today is Football, horses and hang out at the house.

Look what I can do!!!

Today is the first day of trying to get this blog up and running. Computer are the most frustrationg thing for me right now. I am trying to get the slide show up and it has to many things on it to figure out at this moment. I will come back to it later after I get Jack from football camp.
